Fitness & Martial Art Classes

Group Fitness (Fall 2015) Rec Services provides fitness offerings for everyone from the first time class goer to the seasoned attender. Classes are for students, staff/faculty, alumni & community members. We hope to provide an environment that is encouraging and challenging not just from a physical perspective but also from a spiritual one as well.

 

Students can attend fitness classes led by student instructors for $1 as part of their Recreation Enhancement Fee. For classes led by off-campus fitness instructors students pay $3 per class.

Staff/faculty & alumni received preferred rates for all fitness classes. These rates are shown when you register for classes online.

 

Spring 2017 Fitness Class Offerings:

  • Bootcamp
  • Kickboxing
  • Circuit Training
  • Yoga/Pilates
  • Zumba
  • Book a Zumba class for a group!

 

Rec Services also offers self-defense classes for students and Taekwondo classes for students, staff/faculty & alumni interested in participating.

  • IDF Krav Maga (military style self-defense)
    • Beginners Class – Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:30pm in the Fitness Studio (Fitness Centre 2nd floor)
    • Advanced Class – Thursdays from 7:30 to 9:00pm in the Fitness Studio (Fitness Centre 2nd floor)
  • Taekwondo
    • Tuesdays from 8:00 to 9:00pm in the Fitness Studio (Fitness Centre 2nd floor)
